Firefighters check extension on 3rd floor apartment fire
December 8, 2001. Shortly before 11pm, firefighters were called to 14728 Fourth St. for an apartment fire. While enroute, communications advised units that additional callers reported fire coming from the building. Engine 103 arrived to find fire showing from the top floor of the 3 story garden apartment building. The crew advanced an 1-3/4 line to quickly knock a fire in the bedroom. The fire was confined to the bedroom with heat and smoke damage throughout the apartment. No injuries were reported.
