House Fire at Plantation Court

On Monday, February, 13 2012 at 19:51 hours, units were dispatched to 15608 Plantation Court for a reported house fire.  Volunteer Battalion Chief 6, Chief 10 and Engine 103 arrived at the same time. The Battalion Chief did a 360 and found fire on the deck in the rear of the house. Engine 103 stretched a line and Chief 10 set up the command post.

Veiwing will be Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 7:00- 9:00PM at Donaldson's Funeral Home located at 313 Talbott Avenue in Laurel.

Engine Call for Montgomery County Apartment Fire

Around 0900 hours Friday morning, Engine 104 was alerted as the fifth due engine to the 13900 block of Castle Blvd. in Montgomery County for a reported apartment fire. Units from Burtonsville arrived with smoke on the sixth floor and found a fire in an apartment on that floor.

West Laurel House Fire

On January 23, 2012, units from Laurel and the surrounding jurisdictions were alerted to the 6400 block of Sandy Street in West Laurel for a report of a house fire. Engine 104 arrived on scene to find light smoke showing. The crew stretched a line to find a fire on the back porch. The crew from Engine 104  quickly knocked down the fire.

Tower on 3-alarm Apartment Fire in Anne Arundel County

Ambulance Call - Employee Hit by Machinery

Just after 0700 hours, E810, A849, and MD810 responded to a call for an employee hit by machinery. E810 arrived onscene to find a priority one patient who was apparently struck by the door of an industrial trash compactor and thrown 5 - 10 feet.

WHAT IS CB65?
CB65 states that for the betterment of the County residents, the County has the power to reorganize the Fire Commission. To that effect, CB65 passed behind closed doors without the input of the Fire Department Volunteers. CB65 allows the County Executive to appoint members to the Fire Commission.

Brooklyn Bridge Road - Garage Apartment Fire

At 0045hrs on Sunday, January 15, units from Laurel and Beltsville were alerted to 7806 Brooklyn Bridge Road for a resident smelling an odor of smoke. Engine 104, Chief 10A, and Chief 10B responded with a total of seven volunteers. Upon arrival, Engine 104 found a two story detached garage with apartments located on the second floor.
