Laurel Fire Fighters Assist The Laurel Lions Club With Annual Christmas Tree Sale

Crew unloads trees from the first truck

November 23, 2002.  Twenty-one members of the Laurel Fire Department helped the Laurel Lions Club members unload trees for The Lions' annual Christmas Tree sale.  This year the Lions set up sales in the Laurel Mall parking lot under the garage on the Rt.1 side.  Unloaded were more than 1300 trees consisting of 7 different types.  The Lions will be selling the trees up until Christmas, Monday through Friday 2pm - 8pm and Saturday and Sundays 10am - 9pm.  Money raised by the tree sale goes back to the community by funding local Lions Club projects and programs.  The Lions Club gives an annual donation to the LVFD as part of their support to the community.
