The Laurel Volunteer Fire Department holds elections in January of each year. Members that are nominated for Officer positions in the Department must be regular or life members with a minimum of three years of service in the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department.  No elected officer may hold two elective offices; but an elected officer may hold an appointive office.
