 Open House 1999

A Collection of Photos From the October 17th, 1999 Open House Held at the Firehouse

Photos by Amy Moore LVFD photographer

LVFD's annual open house took place on October 17th from 12 Noon until 4pm.  The day began with the dedication of our newest pumper, E103, to two LVFD life members, Joe Robison and Lou Luber (pictured below left to right).

After the dedication the open house activities began.  Hector, LVFD's own Fire Safety Clown, stressed fire safety to the kids as well as the adults.  Hector has been spreading the word on fire safety for many years as well as entertaining his audiences.  Below are a few shots of Hector and his dog Tag in action.

One of the best things about open house is that all of our guests get a chance to try on turnout gear, sit in the cab of the fire trucks or get to do things that they normally could not.  The next few pictures show just that.
