Alfred Rascon was honored with a parade in his Howard County neighborhood
for receiving the Medal Of Honor. In February, Rascon was belatedly
awarded the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest military award for valor,
for risking his life to save others in his platoon in Vietnam on March
16, 1966.
