Below is a copy of the Prince George's County Press Release for the public hearings they have set up to discuss the 2013 budget with the residents of Prince George's County. Remember that CB65 can greatly effect this budget, so please be sure to mark your calendars for a hearing that will happen near your community. We ask that you please sign a petition if members happen to be in attendance asking for your signature. And let the County Executive and your County Council Representatives know you oppose CB65!
"Upper Marlboro, MD –Over the next three weeks, Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III will host a series of public hearings to engage citizens in a dialog about the County’s FY 2013 budget. The hearings, which will held in three locations in the northern, southern , and central parts of the County, will be provided residents with an opportunity to give their input and opinions on the Prince George’s County FY 2013 budget. The County Executive will use the feedback he receives from citizens during the hearings to help prioritize the County’s spending options for the upcoming year. The County is facing an estimated $126 million budget deficit going into FY 2013.
Citizens interested in testifying at these budget hearings need to call 301-952-4547 to sign up. Citizens who pre-register will be given priority during budget hearings.
