Tower 10 is a 1994 Simon-Duplex/LTI rear-mounted 102 foot ladder tower. It has an 8 person cab, and is powered by a 475 hp Detroit Diesel 60 Series DDEC II Engine. Tower 10 has an Allison HD4060PR five-speed World automatic transmission with a retarder.The ladder is a steel three-section ladder rated at 1000 pounds dry and 500 pounds wet tip-load with no angle or extension restrictions. The basket houses 2 master stream devices, one remote-controlled electric 1250 gallons per minute Task Force Tip combination nozzle and one stacked tip nozzle. A 2 inch tip is usually carried on this nozzle. Total water flow is rated at 2000 gallons per minute.

Car 10 is a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria donated by Academy Ford of Laurel, Maryland. This vehicle is used by the LVFD Fire Chief to respond to incidents in the greater Laurel area for incident command.We would like to take this opportunity to thank Academy Ford for making a new vehicle available to us each year in the interest of public safety.
Academy Ford has provided the Laurel VFD with a new car for use by the department each year since 1972, when then-Trustee (now Life Member, Retired F/T) Robert Holmes approached Academy about the possibility of getting a car donated to the LVFD.
Utility 10 is a 1993 Ford Crew Cab pickup with an eight-foot bed, powered by a Navistar diesel engine.
The Deputy Chief's car is a 2001 Ford Expedition. This vehicle is equiped with an Odyssey Automotive command console that is located in the rear. ![]()
This is Old Liz, a 1928 American LaFrance 1000 GPM Pumper. She went into service protecting the City of Laurel in 1929 and ran calls into the 1950s. Now she has her own room at the LVFD, located in the lower level of the firehouse. She is on display, along with other historical memorabilia, in the life members room at the LVFD.
